The link below was retrieved directly from the developer PixelGreeds on the PixelGreedsGames Discord server.

The developer also recommends turning off Steam Cloud updates in the "Updates" tab of the game options in Steam.

Install Instructions:

Open the Steam game install folder (right click the game in Steam, Properties, Local Files, Browse Local Files...)
Download the patch archive from the link below
Extract the downloaded patch archive into the game install folder mentioned above, and enter the password "havefun2" when prompted, and overwrite any files if prompted
